Meet an “Amazing” Whose Marine Training Saved The Day

Dan Donovan, at 81, hasn’t lost any of the agility and quick-thinking that are the hallmark of a good Marine. A man impersonating a utility worker entered the Donovan home with ex-Marine Dan and his wife Barbara not realizing they had just fallen for a scam.

While the man was pretending to examine the electrical panel in the basement, two others were busy ransacking the Donovans' living room. Fortunately, Barbara, alerted by a squeaky floorboard, called out to Dan, who rushed up the stairs, grabbed his grandad’s antique Irish walking stick, and rousted the thieves out, thereby preserving his family’s belongings and their safety. Good job, Dan.
