The Conejo Valley YMCA is hosting a new youth co-ed basketball league in Moorpark. League games begin November 6. Games are played on Sundays at: Arroyo Vista Community Park (4550 Tierra Rejada Rd, Moorpark).
The six-week, semi-competitive league focuses on skill development and fun. Each child plays while learning the essentials of teamwork and basketball fundamentals. No prior playing experience is necessary. The league is divided by age group, three and four years old and five to 12 years old.
Practices will be held in Moorpark or at the Conejo Y.

Signups and skill assessment take place twice: Thursday, October 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for kids three to eight and 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for nine to 12 year olds and Saturday, October 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for kids three to eight and 11:00 a.m. to noon for nine to 12 year olds. No skill assessment is necessary for three to six year olds. Signups and skill assessment will be held at the Conejo Valley YMCA (4031 N. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks).
League fees are $70 for three and four year olds and $85 for older kids. League fees include a uniform and trophy. If not a YMCA annual member, participants must be a program member ($40).
