Sheriff Warns of Garage Remote Control Burglaries
Thieves are stealing remote controls for garage doors and then burglarizing homes.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Department warned residents on Thursday of a burglary spree in which thieves are taking garage remotes from vehicles to gain access into residences.
"After parking your vehicles, please remember to secure your garage remote control devices and other valuables out of plain view or remove them and lock your vehicles," the statement said.
In addition to Moorpark, burglaries have occurred in Camarillo, Thousand Oaks and unincorporated areas of the county.
