Simi YMCA Summer Basketball League Begins June 1, Signups Underway

Sign-ups are currently underway for the Simi Valley Family YMCA Summer Basketball League. The season runs from June 1 through July 31 with practices on Wednesday evenings and games on Sundays at Simi Valley Adventist School (1636 Sinaloa Rd., Simi Valley). The league is for boys and girls ages 5 through 13.

No tryouts are necessary and everyone participates. Each child is placed on a team in one of three age divisions: ages 5 through 7, 8 through 10 and 11 through 13. The league is instructional and competitive but the focus is on having fun.

Practices are from Wednesday is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and games are schedules between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. The cost is $100 per player for YMCA members and $110 for YMCA program members. Participants each receive a uniform and an end-of-season trophy.
