Simi YMCA Summer Basketball League Begins June 4, Signups Underway

Sign-ups are currently underway for the Simi Valley Family YMCA Summer Basketball League. The season begins June 4 with an evaluation day and runs through July 30 with practices on Wednesday evenings and games on Sundays at Simi Valley Adventist School (1636 Sinaloa Rd., Simi Valley). The league is for boys and girls ages 5 through 13.

Each child is placed on a team in one of three age divisions: ages 5 through 7, 8 through 10 and 11 through 13. The league is instructional and competitive but the focus is on having fun.

Practices are on Wednesdays are from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and games are schedules between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. The cost is $105 per player for YMCA members and $115 for YMCA program members. Participants each receive a uniform and an end-of-season trophy.
