Simi YMCA Summer Basketball League Begins May 29

Sign-ups are currently underway for the Simi Valley Family YMCA Summer Basketball League. Practices are on Wednesday evenings beginning May 29. Games are on Sundays at Simi Valley Adventist School (1636 Sinaloa Rd., Simi Valley). The eight-week league runs through July 31 and is for boys and girls ages 5 through 13.

Each child is placed on a team in one of three age divisions: ages 5 through 7, 8 through 10 and 11 through 13. The league is instructional and competitive but the focus is on having fun.

Practices are on Wednesdays with games on Sundays. The cost is $110 per player for YMCA members and $120 for YMCA program members. Participants each receive a full uniform and an end-of-season celebration and trophy.
