Teen Driver Flips Car in Single Vehicle Collision
Neither the driver nor his three passengers sustained life-threatening injuries, the Sheriff's department said.

Westbound traffic was restricted for about three hours early Friday morning when a teenage driver with three other teens in the car lost control of his vehicle and ended up flipping his car.
According to a statement issued by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, the 16-year-old was driving westbound on Championship Drive at around midnight when he lost control and his car slid sideways, colliding with the north curb line of the street. The vehicle flipped over and the drivers' side collided with a concrete Edison street light pole.
The three passengers were able to climb out of the vehicle on their own; however the Ventura County Fire Department's heavy rescue personnel had to extricate the driver, who was trapped in the wreckage, the Sheriff's statement said. The rescue took almost an hour.
All four teens were taken by ambulance to Los Robles Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff's department, which reported alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision at this time and the cause of this collision is still under investigation.
