Watch: Pet Cat Saves Boy From Vicious Dog Attack

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A boy was saved from a vicious dog attack – by a cat? It happened Tuesday, according to media reports.

The events unfolded in front of a couple of security cameras. 23ABC reported a neighbor's dog got loose, then set its sights on a young boy riding a bicycle in his front yard. The dog sneaks around an SUV, then grabs the boy by the leg.

Tara, the family cat comes running to the rescue, chasing the dog away. The mom told 23ABC that her son needed a few stitches, but he's going to be just fine.

That's one cool cat.
