The long holiday weekend is over and some drivers will have to fuel up before their weekday commutes begin again. With that in mind, we checked online for the cheapest gas in the area.
Find the lowest price for regular, self-serve gas for $3.99 per gallon at a number of gas stations in the city, according to gasbuddy.com. Find it at the following stations:
- 76, 550 W. Los Angeles Ave. at Leta Yancy Road
- Shell, 301 W. Los Angeles Ave. at Park Lane
- Alliance, 50 W. Los Angeles Ave. at Moorpark Ave. and
- Shell at 6599 Collins Drive at Campus Park Drive.
The average price dropped 10.5 cents during the streak, including three-tenths of a cent on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3.2 cents less than one week ago, but 5.2 cents more than one month ago and 32.2 cents higher than one year ago.
