Actor Robert Redford Lists St. Helena Estate For $7.5M

SAINT HELENA, CA -- Hubbell, don't go!

Legendary actor, filmmaker and environmentalist Robert Redford and his artist wife, Sibylle Szaggars Redford, have put their Napa Valley home on the market -- a 10-acre St. Helena estate with a $7.5 million price tag.

Gated and private, the property, dubbed "Danza del Sol," which translates in English to "Sun Dance," offers a 5,255-square-foot main house, a light-filled art studio at 900 square feet and a detached garage/workspace. Outdoor features include a pool, hot tub, cabana, terraces, stunner valley views and wooded trails, according to the listing agent.

Forever forged in moviegoers' minds as Hubbell Gardner in "The Way We Were," the Sundance Kid alongside Butch Cassidy and the sly con man in "The Sting," Redford is the founder of the indie-promoting Sundance Film Festival and Institute and has a new film in release, "The Old Man & The Gun."

Redford told The Wall Street Journal that he bought the estate in 2004, drawn to it for its European-style architecture and setting, with hiking paths that lead to nearby Meadowood Resort, where he and his wife are members.
