2018-2019 Supper Bid

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Newark Unified School District (hereinafter referred to as “District” invites qualified suppliers to submit sealed bids for:

Supper Meals – Bid Number 18.02

Proposals shall be sealed and clearly marked with the NUSD Proposal Name and Number and received up to, but no later than 3:00 PM, May 31, 2018.

There will not be a formal bid opening for these bids. All bids will be available for public review after the recommendation for contract award is submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval. Any nonconforming or incomplete proposals may be rejected. Bidders must comply with the instructions contained in the proposal package. It shall be the full responsibility of all bidders to insure that proposals are delivered to the above office by the time and date stated. Facsimile (FAX) or e-mail copies of the proposal will not be accepted. The District will not be responsible for late deliveries by U.S. mail or any other means.

The following types and quantities of meals: 1,500 supper meals weekly – which should be prepackaged, unitized, and exclusive of milk. All supplied components are required to be in compliance with the current CACFP Meal Pattern Requirements. All meals must meet or exceed the minimum standards set by the USDA for CACFP supper meals for the Child Meal Pattern.

All questions regarding proposal, the terms and conditions shall be submitted in writing no later than April 13, 2018 to Mary Sayers at msayers@newarkunified.org.

The District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the proposal process. No bid, or any portion thereof, may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening.
