If you're like many folks out there, you come up with brilliant Halloween costume ideas in May and forget them by October.

Halloween stores are an easy (albeit pricey) way to find a disguise, but it just isn't the same as putting together a costume that's held together with aluminum foil and duct tape.

Pinterest.com has an interesting collection of photos sent in by users: Think Flo, the Progressive Insurance lady, a teabag (you read right), or Rosie the Riveter  (The We Can Do It! poster woman).

Now is the time to start brainstorming, so you know what to look for in thrift store aisles and beyond, for yourself or your children.
