We asked Patch readers in more than 1,000 communities to tell us what their moms mean to them. Nearly 200 people responded, paying tribute not just to moms but sometimes to grandmas, sisters and daughters who deserve recognition for Mother’s Day 2021.

To my wonderful momma in heaven, I miss you and think about you every day. I miss not being able to pick up the phone and call you for advice, and one of your awesome recipes or to tell you about all your great-grandchildren. I know you would love every single one of them. I am trying to be the same amazing grandma to them as you were to my kids and as grandma was to me. I know I have some big shoes to fill! I could not have asked for a better momma! I love you and miss you so much! Happy Mother's Day in Heaven!
