Messy Crash Causes Traffic Mess In Newark

NEWARK, CA — Wednesday got off to a rough start, traffic-wise, in Newark. An overturned truck spilled its load causing a major street to be closed.

Westbound Thornton Avenue was closed between Cedar and Newark boulevards until the mess could be cleaned up.

Because of the closure, commercial trucks had to shift to alternate routes causing more congestion.
