Multiple Traffic Alerts In Newark

NEWARK, CA — The Newark Police Department reports multiple incidents that are impacting traffic.

>> A traffic collision in the area of Cherry Street and Central Avenue brought down live power lines. All traffic is blocked as a precaution. It's expected to take a few hours to clear the crash and for PG&E to fix the power lines.

>> Avoid eastbound Thornton Avenue between Arden and Newark Boulevard for the next 25 minutes due to traffic incident. One eastbound lane will open up in approximately 25 minutes.
