NEWARK, CA — Firefighters quickly put out a fire in Newark early Thursday.

The fire was reported in an outbuilding at a business in the 5600 block of Thornton Avenue. The initial call was received at 4:12 a.m.

The fire department has not announced the cause of the fire.
