Newark: Free Document Shredding On Friday

It's time to clean-out those file drawers!

NEWARK, CA — The City of Newark will hold a free document shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. The shredding is available to Newark residents and businesses only. You will need a driver's license, utility bill or other proof of your connection to Newark.

The shredding will be handled by Pro Shred, which is NAID AAA and ISO9001 certified. The company will have a truck on site to complete the work.

Paper clips and staples are allowed, but nothing else besides paper will be accepted.

Participants may bring up to two banker boxes worth of documents. If you don't have banker boxes, put the equivalent of 12 inches by 14 inches by 18 inches in another box or bag.

The event will be held at the Newark Service Center, 37440 Filbert St.
