NEWARK, CA — Newark Police officers investigated a report of a shooting on Tuesday in the 37000 block of Saint Matthew Drive.
Investigating officers found shell casing, but no victims.
A perimeter was established around a home, including neighbors who were asked to shelter-in-place. Police said in a release, "Due to the circumstances, the Newark Police Department’s Crisis Negotiation team (CNT) along with members from the Special Weapons and Tactics team (SWAT) were requested to the scene. The associated residence was subsequently cleared of any involved persons."
