NEWARK, CA — Newark Police Officer Oskar Reyes was laid to rest on Tuesday.
The Newark Police Department gave him a hero's send off.
The department worte on its social media, "We want to thank our community, allied agencies, the NPA, the End of Watch Fund, and the many others for all of your support and well-wishes during this difficult time. You were able to turn this sad occasion into a memorable one that honored Oskar's life."

Reyes died last monthof cancer.
