NEWARK, CA — A crowd came out to meet three-time Olympic medalist Elana Meyers Taylor at 24 Hour Fitness in Newark last month. She was greeted by a marching band and fans who were thrilled to get her autograph, take selfies and perhaps get a few training tips. She was joined by her husband, Nic Taylor, an alternate for Team USA Four-Man Bobsled team.

A special treat — she brought all three of her medals along.

Elana Meyers Taylor captured the silver medal at the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games. She is the first person to win Olympic medals in both bobsled positions, driver and brakeman. In addition, her 2015 gold medal was the first world championship title in women's bobsled for the U.S. She has competed since 2007, making the national team in her first season.
