Super Bowl Score: South Bay Father And Son Win Free Tickets
Sitting in the stands at Levi's Stadium this Sunday will be a "once in a lifetime" experience for the pair.
Tom Brugge of San Jose will be soaking up the Super Bowl atmosphere at Levi’s Stadium this Sunday, his son Thomas by his side. While tickets on the resale market range from $3,000 for the cheap seats to more than a quarter of a million dollars for a single seat in a suite, this lucky pair is getting in free.
Tom won a second chance drawing by the California Lottery of lucky loser Scratchers tickets.
And the Super Bowl is just part of the experience. The pair will also spend the weekend in San Francisco, all expenses paid, doing things like attending an NFL Hall of Fame lunch.
According to KPIX, the weekend flows like this: Tom will retire from his job at the City of San Jose on Friday, Thomas will celebrate his birthday on Saturday, and Sunday they will attend the Super Bowl which Tom believes will “probably be my once in a lifetime (chance) to go to a Super Bowl, but not just to go, but to be able to go with my son.”
A true 49ers fan, Tom’s first football game that he ever attended was at San Francisco’s Kezar Stadium.
