UPS To Hire 40 'Driver Helpers'

UPS is getting ready for the busy holiday season and needs additional seasonal workers to help deliver a hassle-free holiday for the residents of Newark and Fremont.

Nationwide, UPS expects to hire 55,000 seasonal positions to handle increased holiday package shipments, including at least 40 “Driver Helper” positions in the greater Fremont area.

“Our Driver Helpers are an integral part of UPS’s holiday delivery plan,” said Karen Beavers, Human Resources Supervisor at the UPS facility in Sunnyvale.  “We’re looking for hard-working and enthusiastic people who can ride with our Fremont drivers and help make this holiday season a success.”

Job seekers interested in earning extra money during the holidays can apply for seasonal positions at www.upsjobs.com. Individuals specifically interested in being a “Driver Helper” in Fremont or Newark should apply for the position that is listed in SUNNYVALE. (UPS customers in the Fremont area are served out of UPS’ Sunnyvale facility). Once the application is completed, the applicant will be prompted to self-schedule an interview from available dates and times.   

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to be considered.
