There's an old saying, "They don't make 'em like they used to."

With that in mind, we thought on this week's real estate installment we'd look at the oldest home we could find for sale in Newark.

This one is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 6733 Thornton Ave. The two-story, refurbished home was built in 1905.

The structure is currently being used as a real estate office. It sits on less than a quarter-acre and is 1,026 square feet. The home is listed as selling for $299,000.
