1 Killed In Crash At 55 And 73 Freeway Transition
The crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck occurred late Wednesday night.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A crash involving a pickup truck and motorcycle killed one person Wednesday night on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway near the Corona Del Mar (73) Freeway and Baker Street on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The CHP released few details about the crash including the age, gender and name of the victim.
The crash comes a day after another fatal wreck in the area on the 73 Toll Road Tuesday. In that crash, the driver of a vintage Jaguar was killedwhen his car flipped after being struck by a speeding BMW driven by a teenager, according to the CHP.
