NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach is known as a great place to spend a day in the sun, surf and sand, and travel brand Lonely Planet just named it one of California's top 10 beaches.

Newport Beach includes an 8-mile stretch from the Santa Ana River jetty to Crystal Cove State Park. It also borders Newport Bay.

Cyclists can also hit the boardwalk bike path and cruise in the ocean breeze. You might even see dolphins in the waves, too.
