Burglar Uses Hidden Key to Steal $133K in Goods from Newport Home

A home in the 2900 block of Pebble Drive was burglarized on Wednesday. Cash and jewelry worth more than $133,000 was reported stolen from the house.

More than $133,000 in cash and jewelry was stolen this week from a Newport Beach home when a burglar used a hidden key to break in, police reported.

The burglary took place on New Year's Eve between 4:45 and 7:15 p.m. at  a home in the 2900 block of Pebble Drive. According to police, the suspect likely used a hidden key to enter the home.

Cash and jewelry worth about $133,710 was reported stolen from the home.
