Corona Del Mar Makes Waves For Los Alamitos: Women's Water Polo
The varsity women of Corona Del Mar met with Los Alamitos as the Sea Kings and Griffins battled it out in the pool.
CORONA DEL MAR, CA — The lady Sea Kings of Corona Del Mar High School varsity women's water polo met with the lady Griffins of Los Alamitos High School to do battle in the Surf League opening match, Tuesday.
The Sea Kings defeated the Griffins, 6-3, thanks to two goals scored by Sophie Wallace, according to the Los Angeles Times. Maya Avital made 11 saves for Corona Del Mar, and Megan Peterson completed five steals to seal the victory.
Corona Del Mar is 7-2 overall for the 2018/19 season, 1-0 in league play.

Corona Del Mar will next meet with Newport Harbor on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 4 p.m.
