'Final Destination 3' Actor Ryan Earl Merriman Arrested in Newport on Drunk Driving Charge

Ryan Earl Merriman, one of the stars of the movie "Final Destination 3" and "Pretty Little Liars," was arrested in Newport Beach late Sunday night on suspicion of driving under the influence, a police department spokeswoman said.

Merriman, 28, of Choctaw, Okla., was arrested at approximately 11:30 p.m. after police pulled him over near East Coast Highway and Bayside Drive for failing to stop at the limit line for a red light, police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said.

Merriman had less than favorable results on a field sobriety test, Lowe said, and he was taken in custody. The actor was released Monday morning about 9 a.m. on $2,500 bail.
