Newport Harbor Elks Buyout Girl Scout Cookies

Newport Harbor Elks Purchase $1,000 Worth of Cookies to Donate

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The Girl Scouts of Orange County Council posted on their site the following thanking Newport Harbor Elks Lodge #1767 for purchasing $1,000 worth of Girl Scout cookies.

“Thank you to Newport Harbor Elks Lodge #1767 for supporting Troops 5381, 3203, 3146 and 3283 in the Great Girl Scout Cookie Buyout with a $1,000 cookie purchase, which was distributed equally among each troop. The Lodge Antler (youth) group will create thank you cards and distribute the 200 packages of Girl Scout cookies to First Responders in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.” #GirlScoutCookieSeason #GirlScoutsOC

With COVID-19 and social distancing, selling cookies has been different for the Girl Scouts this cookie season. Newport Harbor Elks wanted to help some local Orange County Girl Scout Troops by purchasing cookies. In addition, as a show of appreciation the Lodge donated the cookies to the First Responders in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.
