Green Day Frontman Sells Newport Cottage for $1.625 Million

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has sold his Newport Beach cottage for $1.625 million, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.

The punk band's lead singer's 924-square-foot cottage has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, vaulted ceilings and a patio with an outdoor shower. The cottage first came on the market in the fall at $1.895 million, the LA Times reported.

Public records show he bought the property in 2006 for $1.699 million.
