HALLOWEEN PROGRAMS AT THE LIBRARY

Newport Beach, CA -- The Newport Beach Public Library presents a variety of free Halloween programs at library locations with crafts, stories and other fun activities. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes during the week of October 24 through October 31 to story hours and special programs. All programs will focus on fun, not scary, Halloween activities that delight young children during the spooky season.

Events at the Branch Libraries will begin with Fairy Tales and Magic Crafts at the Corona del Mar Library on Thursday, October 24 at 3:30 p.m. On Tuesday, October 29, young guests at Crean Mariners Branch Library are invited to make Ghoulish Crafts beginning at 4 p.m. On Halloween, the Central Library will host the third annual Halloween Party beginning at 4 p.m. in the Children’s Room with not-so-scary stories, crafts and snacks. Kids will take a trick-or-treat tour of the library to cap off the celebration.

Fairy Tales and Magic Crafts: Thursday, October 24, 3:30 p.m., Corona del Mar Library, 410 Marigold Avenue, Corona del Mar. With your favorite costume and a wave of your wand, come and join us for some magical fairy tale crafting!

Ghoulish Crafts: Tuesday, October 29, 4 p.m., Crean Mariners Library, 1300 Irvine Avenue, Newport Beach. Come make some not-too-spooky crafts for Halloween!

Spooky Stories: Wednesday, October 30, 3:30 p.m., Balboa Library, 100 E. Balboa Blvd., Balboa. Spooky but not too scary stories and crafts for Halloween. Feel free to come in costume!

3rd Annual Halloween Party. Thursday, October 31, 4 p.m., Central Library, 1000 Avocado Avenue, Newport Beach

Kids of all ages are invited to the Central Library’s third annual Halloween Party! Wear your costume and enjoy not-so-spooky stories at 4:00pm, followed by crafts and trick-or-treating around the library.
