ANAHEIM, CA — A rainy Thursday morning commute went to a standstill on the 91 Freeway near Fullerton, when a fabric hauling big rig hauling jackknifed. Two lanes were closed after the wreck, authorities said. The 91 freeway eastbound was at a standstill for hours after the crash.

One person was hospitalized in the crash that was reported about 4:30 a.m. at Brookhurst Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. Both the carpool lane and the No. 1 lane were blocked while crews worked to clear the scene.

CHP reported that a Toyota Camry struck the semi-truck. The driver of the Camry was not injured in the crash, CHP stated, however Metro Cities Fire Authority said that one was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. A heavy duty tow truck was needed to clear the wrecked semi-truck and its fabric cargo from the scene.
