Newport Beach Man ID'd In Fatal Bicycle Collision

An 80-year-old Newport Beach resident was identified by the Orange County Coroner's office, after being struck and killed on March 29.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach resident Ernest Adams, 80, was struck and killed while riding his bicycle in Newport Beach, officials say.

His death is being investigated by the Newport Beach Police Department, according to officials.

The Orange County coroner's office identified Adams as being the victim struck by a vehicle on a Newport Beach street at about 1:40 a.m. on March 29, the coroner's office reported.

Adams was taken to the Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana where he later died.
