Newport Beach's 55th Annual Art Exhibition This Weekend

A record number of artists will be featured at the exhibition; over 300 works of original art from 170 artists will be on display.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The Newport Beach City Arts Commission recently announced that
over 300 works of original art will be on display at the 55 th Annual Newport Beach Art Exhibition on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Newport Beach Civic Center, 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach.

According to the City Arts Commissions Chair, Arlene Greer, “This is the largest Newport Beach Art Exhibition in its 55-year history with 170 artists submitting their work for judging, viewing and sale.”

In addition to the hundreds of original artworks on display, the Art Exhibition will feature a festive atmosphere of live music, a food, wine and beer pavilion hosted by The Bungalow Restaurant and children’s art activities to inspire and entertain young artists.

Cassandra Coblentz, Orange County Museum of Art’s Senior Curator and Director of Public Programs, is the juror for the exhibition. She will award first, second and third place prizes in Painting: Watercolors, Painting: Oils and Acrylics, Photography and Sculpture/3D art categories, as well as a Juror’s Choice award. The People’s Choice winner will be selected by attendees. Mayor Diane Dixon, along with members of the City Arts Commission, will present the awards in the City Council Chamber at 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of the event.
