South Orange County Area Restaurant Closures Due to Vermin Infestations

In October, these are the Orange County restaurants that have closed due to vermin infestations and other reasons.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — In San Juan capistrano and surrounding areas, vermin infestations were overwhelmingly responsible for health department restaurant closures. Predominantly, cockroaches were the cause according to the reports filed by the Orange County environmental health agency.

In all, vermin forced the closure of 8 Orange County restaurants.

Most restaurants that are closed for critical violations reopen within a few days after correcting the problem that forced the closure, after a follow up inspection.

Beyond major violations that force immediate closure are minor infractions that produce unsanitary conditions which could lead to outbreaks of food-borne or viral illnesses.
