As of Tuesday evening an investigation is ongoing, according to Newport Beach Police spokeswoman Heather Rangel.

The video was posted to Patch Neighbors but was taken down after drawing numerous comments from Patch readers that named the teens in question.

KTLA5 was the first to broadcast the video of the beating and bystander reactions on Saturday night.

Witnesses told reporters that the man was unconscious when the teens fled.

Rangel told Patch that it is unlikely that any more information will be shared on this matter as there are juveniles involved.
