Watch: Gray Whale Family Swimming Very Close to the Beach
Have you ever seen whales frolicking so close to shore?
A boat loaded with whale watchers from Dana Wharf Whale Watching spotted a family-sized pack of whales swimming very, very close to the shore in Laguna Beach earlier this week, traveling back home to Alaska after their annual visit to the whale breeding grounds in Mexico.
Some observant folks on the beach also happened to notice the whales -- not hard, since they're only the largest living things on the planet ...
