4 Vehicles Collide On 118, Injuring 4

The westbound 118 near Tampa Avenue was closed Wednesday night following a major crash.

PORTER RANCH, CA — Four vehicles collided on the 118 Freeway Wednesday night, injuring three.

The crash was reported at 10:52 Wednesday on the westbound side of Tampa Avenue, near the intersection with Rinaldi Street in Porter Ranch, LAFD spokesperson Nicholas Prange told City News Service.

Traffic was blocked for a while on the 118 while paramedics took two patients to the hospitals with moderate to serious injuries, Prange said. One patient declined to be taken, according to an LAFD report.

Footage uploaded to the Citizen app shows the westbound 118 empty as tow trucks load badly damaged cars. Traffic on the eastbound side is backed up.
