A small fire that apparently started in a dryer vent spread to the attic of a two-story apartment building in Northridge Monday afternoon before being extinguished.
Firefighters were called to 10066 Melinda Way at 3:49 p.m., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took the 32 firefighters about 20 minutes to knock down the blaze, Scott said.
