An armed man barricaded himself inside a building in Reseda for three hours Sunday, and then surrendered peacefully, police said
An armed man barricaded himself inside a building in Reseda for three hours Sunday, and then surrendered peacefully, police said
Police were notified of the suspect in the 7400 block of Canby Avenue at 10:20 a.m., said Los Angeles Cleon Joseph of the Media Relations section.
A SWAT team was being assembled to be sent to the incident, which was just east of Reseda Boulevard on Valerio Street.
The suspect eventually surrendered himself without incident at around 2:15 p.m., said Lt. Craig Valenzuela of LAPD's West Valley Division.

It's possible the incident was sparked by a domestic violence call made to police by the suspect's girlfriend, Valenzuela said.
The suspect's name was withheld.
