Bean Dip Man Wishes He Could Spend Another 24 Hours In The Tub
After spending 24 hours in bean dip to promote Los Toros in Chatsworth, Hunter Ray Barker said he had a great time and is ready for more.

CHATSWORTH, CA — Not even 24 hours of Los Toros bean dip is enough for Hunter Ray Barker. After spending 24 hours floating around in a vat of the black gold to promote his favorite restaurant, Barker says he loves the stuff even more now and wishes he could spend another 24 hours fully immersed in it.
“It was kind of nice,” he said. “I love [bean dip] even more. The bean addiction still stays strong.”
Barker, a filmmaker and director of the Stunt Players Directory, organized the 24 Hour Bean Dip to promote a restaurant he’d been enjoying his whole life. From 9:30 a.m. Monday to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Barker was wide awake inside the tub, chatting with attendees of the tailgate party, fellow stunt performers, and said he had an overall great time.

“I think above all else, I love anything that allows people to laugh, we had a lot of laughs, which was great,” he said. “We had a lot of people who roll by in their cars and wave and smile, point, laugh, laugh at me, we had it all.”
During the day, Barker treated himself to a margarita, enchilada (with bean dip, of course) and a tattoo of the three bulls that make of the Los Toros logo on his upper arm, courtesy of artist Captain Todd from Nathan’s Tattoo and Piercings in Canoga Park. Barker said he wrapped his arm to make sure that no dip interfered with his new ink - a sentence that has likely never been written before.

One of Barker's friend, singer Lana Del Rey, attended the event and posted a photo of him getting tattooed with the caption "Don't ask why."
Barker also paid for a $200 gift certificate to the restaurant that was awarded in a drawing to a woman who helps soldiers and veterans return to civilian employment.
As a chilly night set in and people started going home, Barker’s friend stayed to keep him company. He said that he didn’t want to fall asleep in the dip, so he and his friend Charlie sat for hours together in about 45-degree weather.
Now that he’s out of the tub, Barker wants to use his marketing agency, Bullfrog Creative Agency, to help other small businesses through similar stunts.
“"We'll see what comes to the table,” he said. “We are working on putting together a list of businesses close to our circle interested in doing something interesting and unique, and we'll see how it goes."
A week in a giant bowl of guacamole, anyone?
