Chatsworth Celebrates 125th Anniversary with Huell Howser

The Chatsworth Historical Society celebrated the 125th anniversary of the community's March 10, 1888, incorporation Tuesday with guest of honor Huell Howser.

Well, yes, television's explorer of California's Gold died recently, but his programs live on, and the society screened his 2003 visit to Chatsworth's historic spots (see attached YouTube video clip). It was his second Chatsworth program, following his earlier visit to the Munch Box drive-in on Devonshire Street.

Chatsworth historian Virginia Watson enticed him to return for the second program with the promise of a full-on tour. And Watson was in attendance Tuesday at the celebration in the museum which bears her name.

Of course, she cut the birthday cake. Now isn't that historic.
