Chatsworth Man Killed in Crash

One man was killed and three others critically injured this morning when two cars crashed at an intersection in Lakewood, authorities said.

The crash at Del Amo Boulevard and Clark Avenue, on the border with Long Beach, was reported at 12:30 a.m., according to sheriff’s Sgt. Mat Taylor.

The fatally injured man was identified as Ebad Ahmad, 24, of Chatsworth, coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said.

Ahmad was a passenger in one of the vehicles, Winter said.

Ahmad was ejected from the vehicle, a news photographer reported from the scene. The survivors were hospitalized in critical condition, Taylor said.
