Construction Closures On 210 Freeway In Sylmar This Weekend

The work is part of a $135.5 million project to improve the 210 freeway.

SYLMAR, CA — A portion of the eastbound 210 Freeway will be closed this weekend in the Sylmar area for repaving. The eastbound 210 will be closed from the 5 Freeway junction to Roxford Street between 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday.

Connectors from the 5 Freeway and the eastbound 210 will also be closed, along with the eastbound Yarnell Street on and off ramps.

Overhead sign structures, traffic loop detectors, the center median barrier, and the guardrail system will be upgraded. Residents and local businesses located near the freeway may experience noise, vibrations and dust associated with construction activities during the 55-hour closure period, said Eric Menjivar of Caltrans.
