Driver Killed In Northridge Crash

One driver was killed Saturday in Northridge when their car crashed into a tree.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A driver was killed in Northridge Saturday after their car hit a tree.

Los Angeles firefighters and Valley Traffic Division officers arrived at Tampa Avenue and Romar Street Saturday at 12:07 a.m., where they found a deceased driver and a smashed car, according to a report in the Los Angeles Daily News.

No other vehicles were involved, and the identity and gender of the driver have not been released.

Tampa Avenue between Devonhire and Mayall streets was closed in both directions while authorities investigated the crash.
