Federal Money to Chatsworth High Being Diverted to Lower Income Schools

Chatsworth High School is among 28 Los Angeles Unified campuses that will have a portion of its funding diverted next year to other schools with higher concentrations of poverty, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The federal funding was initially set aside for schools comprised of student populations about half make up of low-income students. It's going to be up to the school district's board to "draw the poverty line for these Title 1 funds," the Times reports.
