Northridge Home Draws International Scorn as Worst Bang for Your Buck

Oh, you have to see the photos to believe this one. It's filthy and crumbling. By the way: Cash Only; As Is.

A Northridge home is making international headlines this week for being the worst home you could buy for a cool half-million.

The sellers of this home must be fans of HGTV. Whether watching “Fixer Upper,” the “Property Brothers” or Southern California’s own Tarek and Christina El Moussa on “Flip or Flop,” the TV overhauling gurus all say the same thing: buy the worst house in the best neighborhood. This listing actually reads, “This is truly the worst home in the best neighborhood. Property to be sold AS IS to CASH only buyers.” Price: $475,000.

Unfortunately, the sellers forgot the part about these diamonds in the rough selling for cheaper than other homes in the neighborhood. According to Zillow, similar listings nearby can be had for $500,000 and considerably less work.
