Hot Week Ahead In Northridge-Chatsworth

Temperatures will climb into the upper-80s Sunday, and hover around 80 for much of next week.

NORTHRIDGE-CHATSWORTH, CA — Northridge and Chatsworth are skipping spring and going straight into summer as a chilly week abruptly turns into a hot weekend and week.

After a windy week where temperatures dropped into the 40s at night, Northridge and Chatsworth will see highs in the mid-80s starting Sunday and lasting throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.

In Northridge, Saturday will see a high of 80, Sunday will climb to 86, Monday will go to 82, Tuesday, 78, Wednesday, 83, and Thursday 86. These temperatures are well above the city’s March average high of 72 and April’s average high of 73, according to Google data.

Chatsworth will see high near 81 Saturday, 85 Sunday, 82 Monday, 77 Tuesday, 82 Wednesday, and 86 Thursday.

Higher temperatures are expected throughout the Southland starting Sunday. Highs in the mid to upper 70s are expected along the coast, West LA will see highs in the low to mid-80s, and the San Fernando Valley will see highs up to 88 degrees.
