A fire broke out amid "pack rat conditions" in a Granada Hills home Wednesday, injuring someone, firefighters said.
Firefighters sent to an address in the 17000 block of Chatsworth Street at 10:46 a.m. extinguished the flames in 18 minutes and took an injured person to a hospital in fair condition, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Firefighters found "pack-rat conditions" in the one-story home, Scott said. How the fire started was not immediately known.
