It Is Riskier to Be Black and Gay Than to Be a Porn Star

The county's ballot Measure B requiring the use of condoms during the filming of adult videos in Chatsworth and elsewhere in Los Angeles may seem like a common sense requirement to prevent the transmission of sexually linked diseases.

However, Jim Newton reports in the Los Angeles Times that: "Where HIV is concerned, it is far riskier to be a young, black gay man in Los Angeles than it is to be a porn star."
